Błażej Mroziński

Psychologist and psychometrician

Błażej Mroziński holds a PhD in psychology and works as a psychometrician: his field is how psychological measurement instruments are built, validated, and misread. He writes and reviews the mental-health content on Symptomatik.

What he reviews, and what he does not

The mental-health self-assessments and the writing around them: what each instrument measures, what its published cutoffs mean, where its validation came from, and the difference between a screening signal and a diagnosis.

He does not review the biomarker and laboratory-test content. That material is compiled from cited authoritative sources and carries its references on every page, but no clinician has personally reviewed it. We would rather say so than imply a medical sign-off that has not happened. Contracting a named medical reviewer for that surface is an open item.

A note on the instruments themselves

The questionnaires on this site were developed and validated by other researchers, and each one is credited to its authors with its original publication. Nothing here claims authorship of an instrument. Where an instrument is licensed and we do not hold the rights, we say so on its page and point to a free validated alternative instead of publishing it anyway.
